Alhamdulillah barusan apply visit visa utk mertua di MOI Mesaimeer Services Center lancar jaya sekali tanpa terkendala walaupun umur bapak mertua 65thn saat ini. Alhamdulillah kaptennya no comment sedikitpun langsung approved,... alhamdulillah...

Sebagai reference berikut persyaratannya :
1. Copy passport mertua.
2. Surat keterangan KBRI.
3. Copy passport kita plus istri.
4. Copy RP kita plus istri.
5. Surat "To Whom It May Concern" dari Ebussiness (yg bahasa Arab).
6. Bawa QID kita yg asli for typing.
7. Beaya QR200/ apps harus dibayar pake ATM/ cc.

3. Fill and certify the establishment contract form at the Ministry of Business and Trade.

6.5 Setting up an Educational Institution in Qatar

1. For K-12, obtain an approval from the Department of Private Education at the Ministry of Education;

For Post Secondary Education, obtain an approval from the Higher Education Institute Department at the Supreme Education Council.

Small Story.... Ganti Ban Mobil di Doha

Sudah hampir sebulan ini terpaksa hunting Ban/Tyre Mobil yang sudah mulai keropos. Sebenarnya secara fisik "kembangan" tyre mobilku ini masih OK...(Compare nya dgn dulu waktu cari tyre di indonesia) tetapi secara fisik kelihatan tyre ada retak2 seperti tanah yang kering dan parahnya sering sekali "Air Pressure" turun setelah beberapa waktu apalai klu lama ndak dipakai (1-2 hari). percepatan kerusakan kimia tyre ini mungkin bisa jadi di pengaruhi cuaca di Qatar yang exstrem panas sekali dan dingin sekali sementara "kembangan" tyre lebih awet karena kondisi jalanan yang "mulus" dibanding di Indonesia. whatever yg jelas klu dilihat dari tanggal produksinya "tyre" mobilku memnag dibuat tahun 2006 jadi sudah 4 tahun dan memang waktunya diganti bahkan kelebihan (standart safety klu ndak salah 3 tahun kudu diganti - kata pabriknya) tapi itu semua tergantung situasi dan penggunaan.

OK back to the topic, Mencari Ban harusnya mudah ternyata lumayan butuh perjuangan buka apa=apa karena ada factor quality yang kudu di compromise dgn 'budget'...tetep. Original Tyre yg dipakai oleh Ford dgn Ring 17 adalah ....lupa.rugged or somethign else (seperti USA brand) parahnya itu brand di carri di Ford Services sendiri ndak ada dan juga ditoko2 yang lain. Ide mengganti Ban dengan merk yang sama maksudnya biar bisa diganti secara berkala 2 biji 2 biji....karena 2 tyre yg tampak urgent sementara yg lain masih lumayan OK. Beralih ke Merk lain dgn ukuran 17 Inchi ternyata juga ndak mudah karena ndak semua merk punya ukuran tyre yang sama percis dgn original tyre. Dari survey untuk Tyre Ford Explorer standart yang ada dari merk goodyear, pirelli dan Bridgston tetapi harganya lumayan juga @ 650 QR dan & 700QR an utk Pirelli... lumayan jag klu ganti 4 biji. baru sadar klu mobil gede spare partnya juga lumayan mahal karena ukurannya....hi.

Anyway setelah seacrhing dan survey2 di toko2 Tyre di Doha akhirnya  dapet juga alternative yang menurut aku bisa memenuhi kebutuhan quality dan budget. siapakah dia ? (kayak Kuis saja)...

Tyre itu bernama Yokohama Tyre.... !!... horeee..
Awalnya lihat Landcruiser. Nissan partfinder.... berkeliaran dgn Ban itu dan coba seacrhig di internet ternyata itu Ban Made In Japan dan dari web nya cukup... Top untuk mobil2 besar. Langsung cek di Toko Yokohama supplier di Doha yang lokasinya di Salwa Road near (end of Salwa RA) ternyata utk ukuran Ring 17 harganya @475 QR lmayan jauh dibanding Pirelli...hi pastilah. Langung diputuskan untuk ganti 4 tyre sekalian...eits ternyata tidak selancar itu ...karena kudu balik 2 kali...karena Stock Tyre yg model ini cepat kalai habisnya.

So buat temen2 expat di Doha yang sekiranya sedang hunting Tyre boleh juga Yokohama ini jadi alternative... saya bukan Agen dan tidak ada komisi juga dari mereka....he he... hanya sharing kali saya ..kita punay considerasi yang sama...

When selecting tires for your Explorer, the first question should be "What kind of driving do I do regularly?" Tires are put basically into 5 categories:
1) Sport Tires--- 100% on-road. Good handling and acceleration
2) Street Radials--- 95% on road. Good handling, but enough tread to get through the snow and dirt trails
3)All-Season Radials-- found on stock Explorers (Firestone Radial ATX, Wilderness AT). 75% on road. Good all around tires
4)All-Terrain Tires- 50% on road. Aggressive tread pattern, noisy, but perform good on and offroad. Use only if you plan to really 4 wheel your Explorer
5)Mud Terrain Tires-- 20%(at best) on road. Built for offroad. Very noisy, handling is poor. Terrible in wet weather, but kick butt in the mud
Don't buy tires for the looks, buy them for your needs. If you buy TSL Super Swampers, but never go off-road, you'll hate them. They will give you bad gas mileage, bad acceleration, and terrible noise.
I always recommend BFGoodrich Tires for anything. They make a tire in all categories, except street radial. (BFG Sport Truck, Trail TA, All-Terrain, Mud Terrain.) Michelin, Mickey Thompson, Goodyear, Cooper, Dunlop, and Big O also make great tires. I would stay away from Firestones, or "grocery store" brand. Most good tires will cost you between $70 and $110. Always buy the extended warranty. NOTE: BFG does not come with a warranty, so buy that extended warranty from the tire shop.
Sizes: Most Explorers come stock with P225/75 R15, although some come with P235. I would not go any bigger than a 30x9.50 on a stock Explorer. I've heard of people fitting 31's, but I'm sure they rub. NOTE: If you want huge tires, lift your Explorer. I would also recommend sticking with a "P" tire (passenger) unless you tow, or go offroading. BFG's are all (except maybe the Trails and Sport Truck) "LT"s.

Mempertanyakan kualitas air dirumah kita ?

Kabarnya Air supply di qatar ini berasal dari Air Suling hasil konversi Air laut menjadi air tawar. hmm...sebuah teknologi canggih dan tentu saja menghasilkan Air yang berkualitas karena proses penyulingan tersebut dan mustinya bisa langsung diminum. apakah benar begitu ? secara dari sumbernya tentu saja benar akan tetapi karena air tersebut disalurkan melalui pipa-pipa yang panjang dan penampung2 air di rumah2/apartemen yang tidak dijamin kebersihannya apalagi di bawah suhu yg exstreem panas /dingin kebersihan air tersebut menjadi pertanyaan.

Nah berikut ini sharing dari temen KH JP yang dirumahnya menggunakan Filter (britanica brand) berikut foto2 filter ketika sedang diganti setelah 4 bulan. kesimpulannya silahkan dipikirkan sendiri.

inilah gambaran betapa kotornya tap-water di qatar. Kebetulan gw pake britanica walter system yg memakai 5 macam jenis filter, ini adalah filter pertahanan pertama, menyaring segala macam kotoran kasar. Aslinya filter ini berwarna putih bersih, sebersih kertas HVS....4 bulan kemudian...

Tabung paling belakang adalah filter ke-2, penghilang bakteri/garam dan berbagai macam pertikel berbahaya bagi tubuh (ingat air ini sudah mendekam di dalam tanki2 dan terkena suhu yg cukup ekstrim panas/dingin)

Tabung kecil didepanya adalah tabung ke-4 yg fungsinya sbg memfilter rasa dan bau yg aneh...

How to - Menemukan dan Tag koordinat GPS alamat rumah/kantor/whaterver

Setelah sekian lama ingin membuat panduan sederhana bagaimana cara menemukan koordinat alamat/lokasi yang kita cari akhirnya jadi juga saat ini. Mungkin untuk beberapa orang informasi ini hanylah info "ecek-ecek" tetapi pengalaman mengatakan bahwa banyak yang belum tahu juga bagaimana caranya karena sering kali klu kita mencari alamat khususnya di Doha ini Koordinat GPS adalah cara terbaik untuk menemukan alamat yang kita cari dibanding address fisik dan Guding by phone yg lebih menghabiskan waktu dan pulsa...hii.

Dengan memberikan koordinat lokasi kita/tujuan yg dicari kita bisa masukkan koordinat di GPS mobil atau minimal kita bisa searching Koordinat di Google Map utk di Print atau sekedar untuk dilihat perkiraan lokasinya di View Google Map sebelum dicari.

berikut ini step by step nya
1. Proses Searching.

Open Google Map http://maps.google.com (gambar dibawah)
dari kolom searching coba ketikkan "key word" misalnya dlm contoh ini keywordnya " al-sultan second complex". jika anda beruntung (sudah ada note di mapnya) maka anda langsung ketemu lokasinya. tetapi jika tidak nggak usah kawatir tinggal coba keyword lain yg kira2 lokasi terdekat yg terkenal misalnya " salwa doha qatar". Nah dari situ View Map digeser2 manual dgn mouse dan di trace lokasi tempat kita yg akan di TAG atau di cari koordinatnya. klu gambar kekecilan bisa di scrool pakai mouse utk Zoom in/out.

View map jika kebetulan "keyword" address yg kita cari sudah ditandain akan lansung ketemu lokasinya seperti dibawah














Setelah lokasi ditemukan di klik kanan mouse dan klik "what here" seperti digambar bawah



Kemudian di klik kiri tombol mouse dilokasi yg sama akan muncul informasi koordinat seperti digambar dibawah.


2. Proses menandai lokasi/koordinat

setelah yakin dgn lokasi , cukup arahkan mouse ke lokasi yg dituju kemudian "Klik Kanan di Mouse" dan akan keluar informasi seperti digambar than klil "what here "dan kemudian "klik kiri di mouse (enter)" akan tampil informasi detail koordinat. Ada 2 format penulisan disitu bisa dicatat kedua-duanya atau salah satu. format yg dipilih tergantung fasilitas GPS y dimiliki. tetapi bisanya kedua model format available di GPSnya.

3. Penyimpanan dan pengiriman
Setelah mendapat lokasi yg dituju ada beberapa langkah yang bisa dilakukan.
a. mencatat kordinatnya manual seperti di proses no.2
b. mengirim koordinat dan Map view lokasi ke temen by email (sepertinya pengirim hrs punya gmail account).
View Contoh gambar (dibawah):
Dari gambar proses No.2 ketika lokasi di klik dan informasi Coordinate tersajikan disitu ada pilihan "save tp" dan " more ". Klik saja more nanti akan muncul pilihan "Send" trus klik nanti akan muncul view menu seperti digambar dibawah . selanjutnya tinggal masukkan alamat email penerima dan pengirim than klik "send". (pengirim sepertinya kudu pakai gmail email).

c. menyimpan dan menandai lokasi dgn nama/label yg kita inginkan untuk keperluan yang akan datang tinggal lihat lagi saved locationnnya. nah yg ini kudu punya account Gmail juga karena ada proses login.
Untuk yg opsi ini sama dgn di proses "b" diatas hanya saja yg di klik adalah "save to" selanjutnya ikutin saja..prosesnya utk login dgn google account/gmail dan beres dah..

semoga informasinya bermanfaat dan silahkan ditandain alamat rumah masing2 sehingga kalau ada yang ingin berkunjung tinggal kasih koordinatnya saja. begitu pula yang mencari lokasi juga akan dgn mudah menemukan dgn cara memasukkan koordinate di GPS atau buat di searching di google map untuk di cek dulu lokasi atau di print jika memang diperlukan.

Dengan demikian akan menghemat waktu dan pulsa anda hanya gara2 cari alamat yg ribet....

Restoran Thai Smile ada di Al-Bida Park Corniche

Seperti tertera dalam judul..kebetulan kemarin waktu jalan ke Al-Bida Park Corchince ternyata ketemu Restoran Thai Smile yang buka disana.. lumayan jalan2 ditaman sekalian makan..segers.

Resto ini merupakan 2nd Branch dri resto yang sama di lokasi yg lama.... dekat Dasman Airport.

Tentunya dgn lokasi di Al-bida Park bisa menjadi pilihan yang menyenangkan karena sekalian jalan2..lokasi parkir ya...tdk terlalu sulit dan tempat nyaman sekali..dekat dgn Masjid dan ada Toliet tentunya..di park.

Al-Bida Park disamping Masjid Wanita bawah (dibawah MAsjid Al-Bida Park) depan Bundaran Air.

Menu

Komentar anak istri seh Enak dan segar katanya..saya sendiri juga kasih point 8/10. klu ada kekurangan mungkin ...masakan terlalu spicy. jadi klu pesan Tom yam , salad dll..kudu kasih tau jangan pedas2..klu tidak suka pedas.

Harga

sepertinay sama dgn resto sebelumnya ...range 15-30 per porsion tergantung menu. untuk minuman 2-7 QR.

Kenyamanan

Cukup nyaman karena lokasi dekat Taman jadi tdk ya enjoy bisa menikmati taman klu ambil kursi diluar. tetapi kursi tidak terlalu banyak 8 Meja dgn 2 Meja lain diruang terpisah bisa utk booking bareng2 temen.

Jam Buka

Normal Day katanay buka dari jam 11 siang sampai 11 malem.

week end...blm tau tetapi kemarin magrib sudah ada... dan sayangnay delivery belum bisa tetapi mereka bialng dlm waktu dekat....lumayan yg kerja di lokasi westbay bisa jdi pilihan makan siang

sayang foto kelupaan untuk ambil karena sudah terlalu pedas jadi lupa semua he he.

anyway selamat menikmati....kuliner di qatar.. biar ndak ngantri di Thai Snack...

yg masih penasaran kapan ya ada restoran indonesia yg benar2 representative dan makanan bisa diterima oleh semua bangsa (arab , eropa dll)
